DAY 1 - March 9, 2022*

In a commendable move towards environmental conservation and community engagement, the YES-O Club of Putlod-San Jose National High School initiated the "Trees for Life" project on March 9 and 10, 2022. This thoughtful endeavor unfolded over two consecutive days, strategically aligned with the retrieval and distribution of learning materials.

The primary objective of the project was to contribute to both environmental sustainability and community well-being. YES-O Club Officers, in a spirit of generosity and environmental stewardship, donated an impressive array of over 300 fruit-bearing and vegetable seedlings. These were made available to the community for free, encouraging individuals to plant and nurture greenery at their homes.
On the first day, the project kicked off at 7 AM and continued until 3 PM. YES-O Club Officers set up a vibrant table display in front of the school, adjacent to the main gate, showcasing an assortment of seedlings for people to choose from. The response from parents, teachers, and the community was heartening, demonstrating widespread support and appreciation for the initiative. The first day concluded on a positive note, with a considerable number of seedlings finding new homes.
DAY 2 - March 10, 2022

The momentum of the "Trees for Life" project carried into the second and final day, maintaining the same schedule. Once again, parents and teachers enthusiastically participated, making the project a true community affair. The remaining seedlings were carefully planted within the school premises, creating a lasting green footprint.

The success of "Trees for Life" not only contributed to the greenery of the local community but also fostered a sense of environmental responsibility and connection among the school's stakeholders. The project highlighted the YES-O Club's commitment to initiatives that go beyond the classroom, making a positive impact on the immediate surroundings and encouraging sustainable practices.

As the last seedling found its home on the second day, the "Trees for Life" project left behind a legacy of community-driven environmentalism. This initiative stands as a testament to the YES-O Club's dedication to holistic education, emphasizing the interconnectedness of environmental health and community well-being. The donation of over 300 seedlings showcased not only the quantity but the quality of the YES-O Club's commitment to fostering a greener, healthier future.
